Maricris Shuman is the founder of SNAP Accounting Firm, LLC. She was born in Manila, Philippines, and moved to United States in 1977. Both her parents are native Filipinos. Her mother is a U.S. Citizen. In 1995, Maricris Shuman along with her former spouse owned the first authorized satellite tv and cellular phone retail stores. Maricris established and handled all of the day-to-day accounting functions, hiring, and software integrations. In 1999, she co-founded the Money Pages advertising in which she created the magazine layouts, and the accounting structure. Thereafter, she was simultaneously running the businesses and opened a real estate company that renovated and managed residential and multi-family dwellings. In 2007, Maricris and her former spouse sold all the companies.
Since then, Maricris earned her Master of Science in Accounting & Taxation. Prior she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. While working through completion of her academics, she worked for various companies specializing in governmental projects. As an accountant, she established an accounting department, performed strategic approach to re-structure and/or improve the financial reporting, recruited personnel, and performed system conversion for rapidly growing small businesses.
Maricris Shuman established Snap Accounting in 2013, while working as an employee for various companies. At that time, she was performing payroll and HR through the company. As an accountant, she generally was employed as a Financial Controller and as an accounting consultant. Since 2016, she maintained her role as an employee for many small businesses. With a vision to grow in the future, she continued to keep Snap Accounting Firm, LLC as an entity and maintained its legal ownership and social media presence.
With over 25 years accounting experience as an employed Financial Controller in private companies specializing in governmental projects, state and federal, has aspired her to enter in the governmental contracting arena. With years of knowledge in governmental billing, proposals, bids, recruitment, certified payroll and other governmental compliance for private entities specializing in marine construction, roofing, federal construction housing projects, and currently Information Technology, makes her successful in the governmental arena.
As a 100% owner of Snap Accounting Firm, LLC, Maricris commits to grow the company by providing management consulting in accounting, HR, payroll, and benefits. She has a great network of established business owners that are currently performing state and federal government contracts and services. Her goal is to help businesses and government operate better, smarter, and more efficiently. Doing so means overseeing the projects from start to finish, while exceeding the level of expectations every step of the way. As an owner of Snap Accounting Firm, LLC, and the firm itself, both are willing to take on the risks for successful project conclusions, by delivering outcomes in the timely manner, within the budget, and exceeding the level of customer service.
